Google ha annunciato il lancio delle API di Google Plus, fornendo accesso a dati pubblici, in questo modo si arriverà a avedere per cosa Google + è stato creato. Anche se Google + lancerà diverse API per il suo sociel network, ora in una fase iniziale, si vedranno comparire anche applicazioni sviluppate da terzi che ne potenzieranno l’utilizzo, ricordiamo che da indagini fatte di recente si è scoperto che Twitter viene largamante utilizzato grazie alle applicazioni di terze parti.
Chris Chabot – Google+ Developer Relations dice:
“We started with Google’s own products, added the +1 button for site owners and content publishers, and introduced games from a handful of partners,” […] “That’s just the beginning though — we want every one of you who builds applications to be able to include rich sharing, identity, and conversations in your app” […] “Google+ gives users full control over their information, supporting everything from intimate conversations with family to public showcases and debates,” […] “This initial API release is focused on public data only — it lets you read information that people have shared publicly on Google+.”

- Put the user first
- Be transparent
- Respect user data
Vedremo se grazie all’introduzione di API questo social diventerà molto più utilizzato.
